Welcome to Junction Hotel

OUR STORY

The Junction Hotel was first built in 1903. Due to the increase of the Tobacco Industry the pub was rebuilt into a two story building with accommodation upstairs, ladies lounge and bar.

This burnt down on August 3, 1953 along with six other buildings. It was then rebuilt and reopened in 1956.

Dimbulah was once a thriving town for the Mining and Tobacco Industry which increased after World War II. The small township predominantly housed refugees that were seeking safety after the great war.

All tobacco growing was abolished in 2017.

Nowadays the town of Dimbulah is again a major farming area growing Mangoes, Avocados, Citrus, Grapes, Sugar Cane with roads leading to iconic Mt Mulligan escarpment, old mine sites cattle stations and caves in the surrounding area.
